The Queensland Lost Pet Register (QLPR) was formed in 2011 with the sole purpose of reuniting lost pets with their family.

We are an independent organisation which is run entirely by an army of animal loving volunteers. These volunteers dedicate their free time to help reunite pets with their owners.

The objectives of the QLPR association are:

  • To reunite lost pets with their owners by providing advice and support to pet owners and finders
  • To educate the Queensland community on responsible pet ownership
  • To promote and reinforce the importance of microchipping and desexing pets
  • To provide assistance and support to owners of impounded, injured or missing pets
  • To share knowledge and develop positive working relationships with Queensland veterinary clinics, local Councils, animal shelters and animal rescue groups
